Because of this, it is very important to dry children’s ears with care and attention.

Here are some tips to keep your child’s ears dry:

  • Drying Ears: After swimming, gently dry your child’s ears with a towel. You can also use
    a hairdryer on a low, cool setting to help evaporate any remaining moisture.
  • Tilt and Shake: Encourage your child to tilt their head to each side and gently shake it to help any trapped water escape.

Maintain ear hygiene

Proper ear hygiene is crucial in preventing infections. To prevent earinfections in kids you must apply some best practices.

To begin, avoid cotton swabs. Do not use cotton swabs to clean inside the ear canal, as this can
push wax and debris further in, potentially causing blockages and infections.

In fact, the right way to use cotton swab is only to clean outer ears. Remember: avoid inserting anything
into the ear canal!

But, you can consider using over-the-counter ear drops designed to dry out excess moisture after swimming. Always consult with a pediatrician before using any new products.

Recognize early signs of infection
